Personality: Hazelclaw is a rather sharp cat. She isnt exactly friendly, and comes off pretty prickly. She has a hard time warming up to other cats due and is always trying to prove her worth. Unfortunately she take this as being the biggest hardass out there. Hazelclaw wants to show she is strong and worthy to the clan due to her past. Shes conditioned herself to power through everything and be ridiculously competitive. This makes her come off cold and its hard for her to make friends, even in her own clan. Hazelclaw's sharp personality combined with lack of patience doesnt exactly make her a lot of fun to be around. Underneath it all she is incredibly worried of failing though. For the most part she refuses to open up to others and let her guard down. All of her focus goes to being a strong warrior. This is probably also her downfall. Hazelclaw is very quick to snap at others, and is especially hostile to outside clans. She would love a relationship of any kind with another cat but finds it hard to do, and no cat is very willing to approach her. She needs to be handled gently and with a lot of patience.

History: Hazelclaw was born as a kittypet, named Ebony. She was rambunctious and wild as a kit, more-so than typical house cats. As her siblings were taken in by other two-leg families she remained. Her mother scolded her often for using her claws too much, "two-legs love your paws- not your claws, Ebony!" The young she-cat didnt care, and she relished her time outside in the garden. Chasing leaves and play fighting her own shadow. As she grew older, her mother doubted for her chances of finding a two-leg family. Starclan seemed to shape this she-cat's life from a young age though, as she found a crack in the garden fence into the forest. She took no pause before entering the entirely new world. The small cat was amazed and instantly took to the wild territory, she felt completely at home. Hazelclaw was about apprenticed aged at this time, though she was large for her age- Stocky and strong. She explored, running after dragonflies and hopping over clumps of grass. A riverclan patrol ran into her and did the usual, chasing her off. It didnt work as always for them as the stocky young cat turned around, hissed, and clawed an apprentice her age across the nose. The clan cats were appalled and then furious. Hazelclaw didnt have much of a chance against an entire patrol so she ran. She slept near the twoleg place, but wouldnt return to her old garden.

After thinking it over, Hazelclaw decided she would meet the clan cats again. She waited for a patrol by the river, acting like she owned the place. Soon a group of cats found her. Hazelclaw was ready though. She hissed that she would fight them off or they could show her what they were doing out here. This took the clan cats off guard. Eventually a senior warrior decided it'd be best to fetch the leader. After a (heated) discussion the decided maybe the hot headed cat deserved a chance- it wasnt the first time outside cats had joined a clan. Hazelclaw joined the clan, and was given the name Hazelpaw. The clan was hesitant, most of them hostile. The she-cat didnt care, she knew her strength and took to clan life immediately. She loved hunting, swimming the river and training to fight. Her apprenticeship was rather lonely, she wasnt well accepted yet, so she set herself to prove her worth. She worked ten times harder than the other apprentices, and took all her duties in stride- if not very politely. As she came to the age, the clan leader and her clanmates saw she was a strong cat and a good addition to the clan. She was given the name Hazelclaw, for her strong skills in fighting and for her first encounter with a clan cat- clawing his nose. She kept working as hard as always, though not making many friends.
